ALESSANDRA SORRENTINO is an Italian-born Art Director, Story Artist, and 2D Animator with over 20 years of experience in the animation industry.


Specializing in storyboarding for feature animation, Alessandra has worked with major studios such as Pixar Animation Studios, Netflix, BlueSky, Aardman, and Cartoon Saloon. Her contributions include acclaimed titles like Inside Out 2, Nimona, Wolfwalkers, Ron's Gone Wrong, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Song of the Sea, The Breadwinner, and The Secret of Kells.


Currently, she leads the creative vision as Art Director at Studio MDHR, on an original, undisclosed 2D animated videogame.


Beyond her animation work, recognized with 2 Emmy nominations, Alessandra is deeply committed to mentoring and education. She has led mentoring programs at Pixar and Netflix, guiding emerging talent and fostering the next generation of story artists. As a professor, she has taught at renowned institutions such as The School of Visual Arts in New York, The Animation Workshop in Denmark and Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Italy.


Alessandra is also a sought-after speaker, leading workshops, keynote presentations, and participating in panel discussions worldwide. She collaborates with events and institutions including The Walt Disney Family Museum and LightBox Expo in California, IAMAG in Paris, Filem'on in Brussels, and Xperiential, among others. Through her work, she aims to spark creativity and celebrate the art of storytelling and traditional animation.
